Apple Podcasts are now available to stream from the web. Apple announced Monday that its Apple podcasts application is available in over 170 countries.

The new dedicated web experience is designed to make it easier to access podcasts for anyone using a web-browser on any device. Web listening has existed for some time, but to listen to an entire episode, users would have to search the show in a search engine, and then go to its Apple Podcasts preview page.

Apple Podcasts has a new web interface that allows users to access features previously only available in the app. Browse millions of shows and access sections like Library or Top Charts. You can also purchase premium subscriptions and more. Listeners can sync with their Apple Accounts in order to pause podcasts, save their play progress for later listening, and see their subscribed shows and followed shows. Users without an Apple Account are also able to use the web experience, but they can only browse and listen.

Apple Podcasts joins a variety of startups and independent platforms with web-based players such as Podbay Podcast app and Podurama. They also join music streaming giants YouTube Music and Amazon Music.

This addition will likely be well received by podcast fans, who don’t want to install an additional app but still need certain features. Apple Podcasts allows podcasters to share links to shows, episodes, and channels. This will allow them to reach a global audience.
